Moore’s sadistic take on The Joker inspired the depiction of the character in The Dark Knight.

Our topics for this week are two of the most influential Batman stories to date: Batman: Year One written by Frank Miller and illustrated by David Mazzucchelli as well as The Killing Joke written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Brian Bolland. Due to some unfortunate technical issues, much of the discussion about Alan Moore’s beard was cut, but the Batman chatter is still interesting.

In what we’ve been reading we talk Kushiel’s Dart, Morning Glories Vol. 3, Sandman Vol. 4, Dark Tower series, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, Redshirts, and Greg Rucka’s Wonder Woman.

Music:

Prince and the Revolution – Partyman

Prince and the Revolution – Batdance

Prince and the Revolution – Scandalous
