Pays Homage To Elvis Costello’s 1977 SNL Appearance
St. Vincent performed on Conan last night and played “Cheerleader” from the Strange Mercy LP. What was cool about this outing on Conan is that Annie Clark and her band decided to poke a little fun at Elvis Costello’s 1977 performance on Saturday Night Live where he interrupted his band a a couple of bars into “Less Than Zero” and then launching into “Radio Radio”.
It’s nice to see that Annie and Co. have a sense of humor.
