Singlelicious: Aesop Rock – “Zero Dark Thirty”
Rhymesayers Inc., home to some of the biggest names independent hip-hop, released a the first single from Aesop Rock‘s new album. The single, Zero Dark Thirty is laced up with layers of hard hitting drums and emanates an anthemic vibe. The production is well complimented by Aesop’s signature wordsmithing. This track will be featured on his upcoming album Skelethon, which drops July 10th, 2012.
FYI, if your a fan of Aesop, the also check out the first single off El-P‘s latest project Cancer For Cure entitled The Full Retard. El is the former owner and head of Definitive Jux, the record label that was home to Aesop Rock. El has long been one of my favorites to do this hip-hop shit and he does it better than most. Cancer For Cure drops May 22nd, 2012. Expect a full review after I lock myself in my office and listen to it for two days straight.
